Calculation and rounding policy

Each entered rate is for the purity selected above. Metal value = rate per gram × weight. Wastage and percentage making charges are each calculated from metal value; fixed making is added. Estimated tax is applied to metal value plus wastage plus both making charges. Exchange credit is deducted after tax.

Every monetary line is rounded half up to INR 0.01 (one paise) before being used in the next step. The payable totals, winner/equality decision, difference and CSV use those exact integer-paise amounts. Shop prices can be equal only when their displayed payable amounts match. This is a what-if calculation, not an official invoice or tax, purity, investment or hallmark assessment.

Limits: rates INR 0.000001–1,00,00,000/g (up to 6 decimals); weight 0.001–10,000 g (up to 3 decimals); percentages 0–100% (up to 2 decimals); charges and exchange credits INR 0–10 crore (up to 2 decimals). A credit may not exceed the shop total.
